Here in Mississauga, we are lucky to have a ton of variety when it comes to ice cream.
So whether it’s soft serve, fancy gelato, ethnic varieties, or just plain vanilla you are craving, we know where you can find the best ice cream in Mississauga!
Where to Find the Best Ice Cream in Mississauga This Summer
With so many different options for ice cream in Mississauga, it was pretty difficult to narrow down our list to just 14! We tried to provide a variety of different types of ice cream, as well as highlight small local businesses when we could.
1. Murphy’s Ice Cream
Murphy’s Ice Cream is a Streetsville staple. Having been around for 40 years, this iconic ice cream shop needs no introduction for Mississauga residents.
Located in the heart of Streetsville, Murphy’s is home to a variety of frozen treats. From soft serve to hard ice cream, slushies, sorbets, frozen yogurt, gelato, sundaes, 30 different types of milkshakes, and icebergs (a mix of ice cream and slush), it’s always a difficult decision on what to order!
Not only will you find a ton of ice cream flavours at Murphy’s, but you will also find a good selection of cones, and a variety of toppings to choose from. Ice cream flavours like chocolate chip cookie dough, mango, rocher gelato, watermelon, cotton candy and pistachio are all popular choices.
And their in-house dipped waffle cones, gluten-free cones, and sugar cones are the perfect bases for your custom creation. With toppings like chunks of cheesecake, cotton candy, popping candy, salted caramel, spiced apple pie and more, your unique creation will be complete
Murphy’s is extremely popular with the locals, so don’t be surprised to see a line out the door on weekends, or on beautiful hot summer days. And although there is no indoor seating, you will find plenty of spots outside to enjoy your ice cream, and maybe some live music, right in the Streetsville Village Square.
2. Scoops Ice Cream
If you are looking for a great place to find handmade ice cream in Mississauga, look no further than Scoops Ice Cream in Port Credit. Just be aware, that this iconic little shop gets really busy on summer weekends!
Scoops offer small-batch ice cream that is made right in the store. And they have everything from over 30 flavours of ice cream to frozen yogurt, gelato, sorbet, milkshakes and sundaes.
Buy it in a cup or cone, we are pretty sure you won’t be disappointed with the amazing flavours or generous portion sizes.
3. Shake It & Co.
Located in Malton, Shake It & Co. is a small dessert bar serving a variety of sweet treats. From Bubble Waffles to milkshakes, sundaes, funnel cakes, churros and iced coffees, you definitely have enough options to choose from.
Just keep in mind, that there is no seating available at Shake It & Co. Take your dessert to go, or on a nice day, maybe head across the street to Paul Coffey Park and enjoy your treats there.

4. Eva’s Originals
Finding amazing ice cream in Mississauga is not difficult, but there aren’t too many spots where you can get a cone that is completely out of the ordinary. If we have captured your attention, head to Eva’s Original Chimney’s where donut cones are their specialty.
At Eva’s, chimney cakes are from sweet dough that has been cooked on an open rotisserie grill. They make the perfect pastry cone to fill with soft-serve ice cream, then cover with sauces and toppings.
At Eva’s, you can either dream up your own flavour combination for your Chimney Cone or choose one from their awesome menu. With flavours like Birthday Cake, Tiramisu, Matcha KitKat Crunch, Apple Pie, and Mango Coconut, you will have a tough time deciding!
5. La Diperie Streetsville
This cute little shop in Streetsville is where you will find some award-winning ice cream as well as other delicious sweets. From mini donuts to ice cream cake, sundaes, layered cakes, cookies, and famous cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory, you are sure to find something to satisfy your sweet craving.
But La Diperie’s claim to fame is that they are the “Dip” leaders, and will dip almost everything! With over 40 different chocolate dips, you can customize your soft serve with a delicious dip as well as a variety of toppings.
6. Sweet Jesus Ice Cream
Made famous in their Toronto stores, Sweet Jesus Ice Cream can now be found in the Square One Food District. Famous for the wacky toppings and quirky names like Krusty the Kone and Hella Hazelnut, their cones are absolutely to die for!
Sweet Jesus Ice Cream offers soft-serve cones COVERED in toppings like cake pieces, cookie crumbs, marshmallows, cotton candy, cornflakes, nuts, and more.
And if you are not in the mood for a cone (just why???), Sweet Jesus also offers cake, ice cream floats, frappes, cheesecake, baked goods (topped with ice cream), and hot chocolate.

7. Nani’s Gelato
Opened in 2021, Nani’s offers handcrafted gelato made fresh daily in-house. Their flavours are heavily Asian, Indian and Italian influence, with menus that completely change every two weeks.
Not only are the gelato and sorbetto flavours unique, but Nani’s also offers at least 2 vegan options, as well as several nut-free options. With incredible flavours like Saffron Kulfi, Biscoff Nutella, Olive Oil Lemon and Mango Sorbetto, you will want to come back over and over just to try all the new flavours!
Nani’s Gelato also offers seasonal soft serve in a variety of flavours that rotate bi-weekly. And if you can’t get enough of their gelato, you can pick up a pint of Nani’s freshly made gelato to take home with you.
8. Snowies Bingsu
Bingsu is a Korean shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings that usually include chopped fruit, condensed milk, and fruit syrup. However, the most popular flavour is pat-bingsu, which actually contains red beans.
Sound appealing? Then Snowies Bingsu is the place for you. This gorgeous little cafe offers 15 different topping options for Bingsu, as well as a variety of hot drinks and honey toast.
While not exactly ice cream, this dessert is the perfect thing on a hot summer day. With flavours like Mango Cheesecake, Matcha Strawberry, Chocolate Brownie, Oreo, and Black Sesame, you won’t have trouble finding a tempting flavour to try.
9. Dairy Cream
Dairy Cream is definitely the place to find some of the best ice cream in Mississauga. Established in 1958, the summer line-ups should be an indication of how much the locals love this iconic little shop.
Dairy Cream is home to some amazing ice cream! Their soft serve is not only made with real cream, but their dipped cones made with unique flavours like blue raspberry, cherry and birthday party are fan favourites.
The menu is also filled with other delicious goodies like over 40 flavours of hard scoop ice cream, ice cream sundaes, banana splits, frozen yogurt, milkshakes, flurries, yogurt smoothies, fresh-made funnel cakes, Belgian waffles, slushies, nutty bars, ice cream sandwiches, and take-home tubs of hard scoop ice cream, soft-serve ice cream and frozen yogurt. The funnel cakes are definitely a hit with our family!
Unfortunately, Dairy Cream is quite small so there is no indoor seating available. Be prepared to enjoy your frozen treat in the comforts of your own vehicle or outside on some of the picnic tables located at the front of the shop.
10. Posta Italbar
Posta Italbar is a fabulous Italian restaurant located on the Port Credit waterfront. Featuring a huge selection of pizza and housemade pasta, Posta also offers Artisanal Italian Gelato for dessert – if you have any room that is!
With 8 flavours of Gelato, we can’t promise that it will be easy to choose just one. Sit inside, or enjoy the weather and views from their outdoor patio while you indulge in your treat.

11. Pinochi Ice Cream
We made sure to include a variety of ethnic choices on our list of best ice cream in Mississauga. After all, why would you settle for vanilla (unless of course, it’s your fave), when you can sample incredible handmade Arabic Ice Cream.
Made fresh in the store, this creamy confection is rolled in pistachios and sliced for your enjoyment. We found it to be buttery in flavour and quite delicious.
Pinochi Ice Cream also offers crepes, waffles, fruit salads and milkshakes. With over 10 flavours of ice cream to choose from, you are sure to find something you’ll love. Unfortunately, Pinochi does not offer any non-dairy ice cream options.
Pinochi recently upgraded and moved into a larger unit. The new shop offers plenty of indoor seating (plus an outdoor patio), with a really cool Morrocan-style decor.
12. Sugar Marmalade
If you are looking to sample the sweet tastes of Hong Kong, with an interesting twist, head to Sugar Marmalade. This unique restaurant located near Square One offers a wonderful selection of Asian-inspired desserts.
The menu features Hong Kong style parfaits, Panna cottas, pudding, pancakes, egg waffles, cheesecake, and unique shaved ice desserts. With unique flavours including Green Tea, Red Bean, black glass jelly, Taro, and Honeydew, most desserts are served with a side of ice cream.
13. D Spot Dessert Café
D Spot is an awesome dessert café and the perfect place to grab some ice cream. Whether you want your ice cream in a bowl, on a waffle, tucked into a crepe, perched on a cookie, or blended into a thick shake, D Spot can hook you up.
And with delicious flavours like Chocolate Brownie, Cookie Dough, Mango, Espresso Flake, Rose & Nuts, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and more, you can create some pretty amazing desserts!
14. GeLatté
One of our favourite places to find the best ice cream in Mississauga is GeLatté. This hidden little gem can be found near the GO station in Port Credit.
With indoor seating and a beautiful outdoor patio, GeLatté offers a wide variety of treats and specialty coffees including cheesecake, GeFrappes, smoothies, tarts and of course, locally made gelato.
The fact that GeLatté offers both keto-friendly options as well as several amazing flavours of vegan gelato, is an absolute bonus. Enjoy the cute atmosphere, or take your goodies to go, either way, GeLatté is a must-visit when in Mississauga.
