If you’re in the Mississauga area and looking to surround yourself with a sea of golden petals, you’re in for a treat. While there is actually only one sunflower field in the city, as a local, I can tell you that there are plenty of sunflower fields to visit near Mississauga.
These fields are not only gorgeous to see but also provide the perfect backdrop for stunning photos, peaceful walks, and a chance to reconnect with nature.
In fact, our family had an awesome time spending an evening watching the sunset over a sunflower field. We got some great photos, had some good laughs, and made a ton of cool memories.

While Lakeview Village Sunflowers is the only sunflower field in Mississauga, there are several nearby locations where you can find beautiful sunflower fields just a short drive away.
Many farms in the surrounding areas offer sunflower fields as a seasonal attraction for visitors. The ones we have chosen to highlight in this post are all less than a one-hour drive from Mississauga, and all offer public access to the fields.

Fortunately, there are a ton of amazing places to see sunflowers near Mississauga. Some of the farms are literally 20 minutes outside of our city limits! We have decided to break down the best farms to visit by city or region.
🌻 Sunflower Farms in Peel Region
1. Lakeview Village Sunflowers
As we mentioned, this is the only sunflower field that is actually located within the Mississauga city limits.
In an effort to beautify the Lakeview Village construction site and inspire community engagement, one million sunflowers have been planted, creating a shared outdoor experience for residents.
This summer, the sunflowers are making a return alongside captivating public artworks, adding to the visual appeal. Visitors can enjoy the blooming sunflowers throughout the season, with the possibility of a second bloom later in the summer.

First bloom: late July – Mid to Late August; second bloom: early September.

2. Dixie Orchards
If you are looking for a family-friendly sunflower field to explore near Mississauga, look no further than Dixie Orchards. Located in Caledon, Ontario Dixie Orchards not only offers an awesome sunflower field but many other great amenities well.
The wagon ride takes you to the sunflowers, corn maze, straw jump, apple orchard and pumpkin patch. However, it’s just a short distance if you prefer to enjoy a walk.
This was our favourite field to visit. It had plenty of places to walk in the fields, and props around every corner to take photos with!

3. Davis Family Farm
With 110 acres of sunflower farm to enjoy, a visit to the Davis Family Farm is a must. Stroll through the 3 km-long Field of Dreams, enroll in the sunflower yoga class, or just listen to visiting musicians play the piano located in the field.
And if that doesn’t convince you to visit, how about booking an extraordinary private luxury picnic experience right in the sunflower field?!

4. Campbell’s Cross Farm
Campbell’s Cross is a sunflower wellness farm that opens to the public every year for the Sunflower Festival. The farm is home to 60 acres, and approximately 700,000 sunflowers.
Not only can you enjoy all the gorgeous sunflowers, but they have a ton of great family-friendly activities to keep you busy.
From Sunflower Sunset Yoga to Sunrise Sunflower Meditation Walks, Sunflower Pick & Create Floral Workshop, Adult or Child Paint Nights, and even farm-to-table dinners, there is so much to experience.

5. Andrew’s Farm Market & Winery
Andrews Farm Market and Winery is a haven of outdoor fun for the whole family. With 165 acres of gorgeous escarpment countryside as the backdrop, they offer walking trails, wagon rides, a playground, an animal corral, and even an awesome miniature straw maze and a corn walk.
There’s definitely something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
But sunflowers aren’t the only reason to visit the farm. Andrews Farm Market and Winery is also home to a variety of pick-your-own fruit, vegetables and flowers, like strawberries, blueberries, asparagus, rhubarb, pumpkins, apples, and more.

6. Hane’s Sunflower Maze
Hane’s is known for its incredible 20-acre Corn Maze. Every year, the design of the maze is different.
But what makes it stand out from others, is the maze is actually a detailed picture! Seen from the sky, it’s not just random pathways, but an actual design!
The Hanes Corn Maze is a giant puzzle, carved into 20 acres of 12′ tall walls of cornstalks. The goal is to find the checkpoints. Once you solve the puzzle be sure to spin the wheel to win a prize.
Hanes farm is also home to an 8-acre sunflower maze with gorgeous blooms for you to wander through.
With 8 generations of farmers, the family farm has been in business since 1849! Today, you can wander the mazes, or head into the bakery where you can purchase fruits, vegetables, and delicious pies. There are also Pumpkin & Corn Blasters and a couple of Escape Rooms to round out the activities available at the farm.

7. Sunrise Sunflowers (Two Locations)
Wander through the scenic Sunrise Sunflower Farm’s Hamilton location. Be sure to grab a photo with their loveable giant rubber duck. There is also a tranquil little pond with actual 🦆 ducks for the kids to enjoy.

8. The Apple Orchard
At the Apple Orchard, you will find a lot more than just apples! In fact, throughout the summer months and you can also see hundreds of thousands of sunflowers.
The farm uses a staggered planting approach, allowing the sunflowers to blossom all through the summer and into the fall.

Discover Glen Drummond Farm, a cherished family-run farm since 1887. With stunning views of the Niagara Escarpment, it’s the ideal setting for weddings and events.
The farm is home to a small sunflower field as well as a pumpkin patch for country fun. Be sure to stop in at the farm market and bakery for fresh produce, farm-to-table foods, and delectable treats.

Robintide Farms, a family-owned farm in Vaughan, is home to a scenic Sunflower Walk. Take a stroll through their sunflower fields, and maybe even opt for a pick-your-own flower bouquet experience.

Sunflower Fields of Markham is a family-run farm located just outside the city of Markham. The farm offers the chance to take a stroll in over 400,000 sunflowers spread over 20 acres.

14. Pingle’s Farm Market
Just a short 5-minute drive east of Oshawa, you’ll find the renowned Pingle’s Farm Market sprawled across 148 acres of land. This beloved destination in the Durham region is famous for hosting a wide range of events, from exciting drive-in movies to Pizza Fridays, and fun farm activities like pick-your-own flowers.
While their classic 5-foot-tall yellow sunflowers definitely steal the show, you will also find lavender and wildflower fields.
Pingle’s Farm is also home to a corn maze, a playground, as well as a year-round market store selling fresh produce, preserves, baked goods, meats and seasonal items.

16. The Fieldstone Barn
One of our favourite small towns to visit is Elora, Ontario. This gorgeous place is definitely worth the drive. And located just a short walk from the town, is the Fieldstone Barn.
